This has to be one of the most beautiful color combinations on the planet! Well, at least at this very moment. I am loving, loving and loving this stunning pallet of purple and gold designed by the one and only Sasha Souza.

Sasha Souza designed this stunning event at Castillo di Amorosa, which at first glance I assumed was an old world European castle but nope, this is a stunning winery in Napa Valley! This is all-around mouth watering beautiful, with purple feathers, branches, hydrangeas, gold chairs (oh those gold chairs) and beautiful linens. Outrageous Prettiness

One of the reasons I love my job so very much is because I get to design space for my clients and I always like to imagine what it will feel like as a guest to walk into such a space. When came across this outrageously beautiful inspiration shoot (via Style Me Pretty), I literally gasp for breath and I assure you if I were a guest at a wedding and I entered a room such as this…..I would say “shut the front door!” No, I’m not dramatic at all.

I mean, look at this! Do you see the huge mirrors and soft pink arrangements? How about those beautiful mixtures of roses and peonies? The clean and crisp white with the understated yet dramatic mini platinum vases? Do you see the ghost barstools? I’ve simply die and gone to styling heaven! A huge high five to the designers at Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio.

Spring Fever by Stoneblossom

With the taste of the mild temperatures this weekend and the clocks springing forward for daylight savings time we all have a bad case of spring fever here at the Stoneblossom studio. We are ready to hang up our winter coats and trade them in for our sundresses and sandals. However, the best part about the warmer temperatures rolling in and longer days ahead is that the 2011 Wedding Season is right at our fingertips!

The flower markets are beginning to fill with a variety lush and fragrant spring blossoms. As we prance through the aisles of blossoms, it’s hard to not burst out in song and dance. The peonies, the hyacinth, the anemone… we just love it all!

However, it’s not just the flowers in the markets that we love, it’s the weddings and events that we have the privilege of planning and designing. We are just so honored to be able to work with such lovely couples each year. We truly fall in love with every one of our fantastic couples. Each couple has a style that is unique to them, and we have such a blast meeting with them, discovering their style, and assisting in making their wedding day as beautiful as they hoped. Take a look at some of favorite spring bouquets to kick of the season.

My Thirty Something Birthday Party

The year 2010 was an amazing year for me all round and when I planned my daughter’s twelve birthday party, I saw how much fun those little girls had, I decided to treat myself and my husband to a nice dinner party to celebrate our birthdays which is only a few days apart.

I like to tell my clients when in design to make sure their style and personality reflects in the décor of their celebration. I’m happy to report, I took my own advice. I’m a shoe, (a slightly obsessive collector) purse, champagne and jewelry kind of girl. If you through in a massive chandelier, I just might die and go to heaven which is why the St. Regis Atlanta was the perfect venue me.

To start, I consulted Christine (one my personal favorites) of Perfect Petals to provide the amazing décor for the evening. I loved the idea of Hydrangeas, Orchids and Roses coming of my shoes. I started gardening a few years ago and when Christine suggested using Wheat Grass verses linens, I loved the delicious picture I was imagining. The custom burned orange invitations from Praez Occasions with the Saxophonist made of Swarovski Crystal is just was I wanted to set the tone for my guests. Now, I must confess to you… the décor of this birthday party really had nothing to do with my husband as I completely took over.

St. Regis had the nicest private dining room for what I had in mind. The outdoor patio was perfect for cocktail hour. Robin of Artvelasus provided amazing custom made wax candles which was perfect on the patio. I wanted a little action for my guests and what better action then a champagne saber? Yes! A real sabrage

I love the minor details in an event. Since we had a formal seated dinner, I wanted to do something a little different for my seating cards. I choose to have individual miniature cakes (from Sugar Plums Visions) engraved with each guests’ names. This was so fun to do and my guests would be able to take the mini cakes home as party favors.

Our fourteen guests were treated to a five course meal with wine pairing. Both my husband and I love Crème Brûlée which served as our dessert.

Real Weddings: Elaunda and Chris

The Biltmore is one of my favorite venues in Atlanta and when I was contacted by Elaunda to plan and design her small, intimate wedding; well I jumped at the opportunity.

Elaunda is head over hills in love with purple (I’ve never seen her without some shade of purple on) and as you’ll see, it was all over the ballroom. Papered Wonders provided the simplest yet most elegant menu cards, programs and escort cards. Floral Matters (who’s one of my favorite florists) provided stunning centerpieces. Below you’ll see some of the amazing pictures captured by Images by N’nek.

I know someone must have cringed when they read the title of this post but these silk arrangements by Emici Bridal made me do a double look as I’ve fallen head over heels in love today with these incredibly beautiful dupioni silk floral bouquets.

Each bouquet is hand-made masterpiece made with beyond luxurious dupioni silk and accented with Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls or rhinestones. Traditional, I’m not a fan of silk flowers but I think these are some of the most beautiful things I’ve seen.

What do you think about them? Would you ever consider using silk flowers in your wedding?

This silk fabric bridal bouquet is comprised of hand cut and formed silk fabric flowers of various shades of cream, off white and ivory. Each flower has its own hand placed highlights featuring either rhinestones, crystals or genuine freshwater pearls. Completely handmade and stunning!

Each flower is hand cut and formed, looking closely you will see two different dupioni silks and a silver silk satin. Freshwater pearls mingle with the rhinestones. Smooth elements compliment textured ones and the entire ensemble marries together to form the New York Bouquet.

Each flower has its own hand wrapped silk stem. The collar is a hand pleated silk organza wrapped in satin ribbon and topped with rhinestones and genuine freshwater pearls.

As seen in Town and Country Weddings Magazine. This tempting pink silk satin peony and catala blooms bouquet in orange and white dupioni makes an eye catching arrangement.

This silk fabric bouquet is comprised of hand cut and formed silk fabrics. Each flower has its own hand placed highlights of genuine freshwater pearls. Completely handmade and stunning!

This silk fabric bridal bouquet is comprised of hand cut and formed flowers of various gorgeous silk fabrics in blush, champagne and ivory. Each flower has its own hand placed highlights featuring either rhinestones, crystals or genuine freshwater pearls. Completely handmade and stunning!

This handmade floral arrangement consists of pink silk satin peonies, white dupioni catalas, silk satin anemones, black ostrich feathers and black coque feathers.

Each flower is cut and shaped by hand on its own silk wrapped stem. The anemone centers are silk taffeta buttons that are hand beaded with black glass beads and Swarovski crystals around the edge. The catala flowers and the peonies are centered with rhinestones.

Also features a vintage beaded button from Paris on the stems.

Dramatic Is My Name.

Yes, I’ve died and gone to drama heaven over this oversize, traffic stopping, breath taking and drama hugging veil! Oh, did I say I’m in love with this veil?

This has to be the most dramatic veil I’ve ever seen in my life and I’ve seen a few. When I saw this wedding posted on the one and only Wedluxe, my heart did the happy dance.

The bride Sanaz, a wedding planner did not do a bad job in providing major WOW factor in both her ceremony and reception. Take a look at the dramatic tall centerpieces she choose for the reception. I tell you, I die……
